(More customer reviews)I needed a two speed winch to on and off load my home made tri-toon house boat. This does the job well and I'm pleased with the gearing contact surface. In the cheaper winches the gears are too narrow and they have a tendency to start skipping, making the winch worthless. This winch keeps pulling even up to the point where it is at its maximum capacity. The brake and gear changing design is a good one, and easy to use. You never feel that the handle is going to get away from you under load or when changing gear ratios.
