(More customer reviews)This is a basic hitch mounted cargo carrier. It comes in a box with the parts wedged in rather than secured together so make sure you check for shipping damage and lost parts. It takes about 15-30 minutes to put together based on your skill. You will need a 17mm wrench/socket or an adjustable wrench to complete assembly. One thing I did have problems with, is the bolt that is in the rear-center. it drags on my inclined driveway and on some speed bumps.
Pros: Effective, solid and cheap!
Cons: Rear of hitch is too low for any kind of inclines. I am going to grind off the inch below the bolt for now.

(More customer reviews)I use Yakima DryDock Boat Hitch Mount rack to haul huge Current Designs Libra XT double kayak on top of my Toyota 4Runner. I am very pleased with the rack, it keeps the kayak very secure. You don't have to worry about longitudinal kayak wobbling when you drive over the rough terrain or speed bumps! I've noticed some latitudinal movement of the rack, though I have not observed any negative effects of it. As far as I can tell, this is pretty much the only option to haul something long and heavy on top of 4Runner as the roof base for putting a two-crossbar roof rack is very small unless your truck has factory-installed rails. To give you a complete picture of my setup, I also use Yakima BoatLoader accessory on my front roof-mounted crossbar. This allows me to load and unload the heavy beast by myself, which makes my life so much easier. Granted, you can't open the rear cargo door with this rack in the trailer hitch, but I can live with that.

(More customer reviews)This swing-away bike rack allows us to keep three bikes racked AND LOCKED while still using the door to our truck camper. We use a cable lock that we thread through a permanent eye on the truck bumper and then through all six wheels and three frames. That's the great part.
The spotty part is that there appears to be only one way to hang the three bikes: The middle one has to be upside-down. :( This problem could have been remedied by allowing more space on the horizontal tube to which the bikes are mounted.
Overall, I would definitely, definitely choose this swing-away rack over the higher priced name-brand models!

Most of the other products don't do the job, allowing the flag to ride up or come off at low speeds. Others require cutting the product apart and ruining it, if you ever want to change the flag. (More customer reviews)The 9200 is an inferior version of the 520. I ordered the $169 HR9200 first and was dissapointed with the amount of sway, the lack of ability to use a locking mechanism to affix it to the car and the lack of straps that come with it.
I sent the 9200 back and am quite happy even though I had to eat the $25 return mail fee. It is definitely more heavy duty..I think it weighs 15-20 pounds more than the 9200. The anti-sway of the 9200 just didn't cut the mustard.

(More customer reviews)This is my first bike rack. Immediately, I noticed that it wiggles a little in its harness, but I found out they all most likely wiggle a bit. It holds four bikes which is great and it stores really well as it is a single arm typr, rather than the double arm ones that are so popular. It comes with the handy 1 1/4" to 2" conversion thingy, which is great for sure. I've hauled 4, 3, 2, and 1 bike with it, and they all rode well on the back. It swivels down for easy access to the rear of the vehicle. The only hassle is that the bikes are secured by screwing down two bolts, which takes a bit of time. Some quick release mechanism would be far better and handy. Over all, though, for the money this was a good purchase.

(More customer reviews)First, let me explain that I hate the banging caused by sloppy receivers so I have tried a very expensive cushion hitch and a cheaper imitation of this product. The cushion hitch worked well for a few years but wore out to use and was pretty expensive. The cheaper versions of this product will work on bike racks and lightweight stuff only. I tow snowmobiles, 19 to 25 ft. boats, firewood and other heavy trailers.
This product is so simple it hurts, but yet IT WORKS. It is a few bucks cheaper on Amazon and the freight is also less than most other places. And IT WORKS. Your stinger will be in solid and the jerking & banging will be gone. It also deters theft because your stinger no longer comes off easily. It installs in a minute with common tools and I will say it one more time - IT WORKS. I have two of them.

(More customer reviews)This bike carrier will get the job done if your willing to work within its limitations. Noting folds or moves with wing nuts - so bring two pliers. You may need to get creative to make this hitch fit your receiver. Very doable if you don't mind smacking your new bike carrier with a sledge hammer....I mounted a three bike "L" carrier to the back of this hitch to convert the two bike carrier into a five. You can't do that with any other carrier I've seen for $58.00Don't expect a Yakima or Thule for sure. But if you just want to get the bikes from point a to b for cheap, this will do it.
